There’s that idea that I see come up in fiction from time to time. What if it works?

That’s more serious than you would think. Let me formulate. Exactly where our defined objective reality ends and subjective reality begins? How can objective reality be broken or circumvented through actions within subjective reality, which is, at least to a point, ours to control? Data and software occupy the thin boundary between the two. On one hand, data is objective — anyone can request it and the machine will spit it back at him. On another hand, data is truly subjective, because the machine may as well be deliberately programmed to lie about it. It exists in a multitude of copies, sometimes different, each given a distinct subjective reality once perceived by a human.

There’s something very important here, a point that can change everything if I knew how to isolate it and use in practice, to turn into the power to change the world, but I can’t grasp it! :(

Dream researchers say lucid dreaming is rare, but I keep finding this odd. I never understood what the deal is with lucid dreaming… When I dream, I’m always aware that I do. I can’t remember most of the dreams later, but I always know that dreams are. I control their course — not directly, but like a multiple choice adventure, often going through several branches of the tree at the same tim. Castanedists try to achieve it through bringing it down to the level of objective reality, getting to see their hands. Naturally, this takes a long, long time to work, because dreams are entirely subjective. As such they have to follow their own logic, the logic of multiple choice tree.

What generates the tree and how it reflects on the objective reality?
That’s the second million dollar question for today. It’s also very important.
Not just for me. For you too.
